CU 2480: Council turned down a Georgetown-area tire center, 5-0, on Aug. 25

DJ Tire Center LLC asked for a conditional use permit, special permission under the zoning code, to run an auto tire center on 1 acre of AR-1 land at 18651 Downs Road near Georgetown. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial, 4-0, on Feb. 4. Council held the hearing April 21 and deferred. On Aug. 25, Council voted 5-0 against a motion to approve it, and the minutes record the motion as denied.
